Abstract:
This special Colloquium is the first part of the NMSU Physics Department's Fall 2022 Research Showcase. Faculty from our Department are invited to speak directly to our students about the cutting-edge research which they conduct. This Research Showcase is an opportunity for our faculty to share their excitement, innovations, and achievements in research with our Department. Faculty members will present for about 15min each about the research in their group, with time left over at the end for open discussion, questions, and answers between the panel and the audience. Students are an invaluable part of the research we conduct in our Department, including both graduate and undergraduate students. By prominently displaying the research conducted together with our students, we hope to inspire even more students to see themselves in a researcher role and to seek out opportunities to collaborate with our faculty.
