Assistant Professor in Experimental Condensed Matter or Applied Physics

The Department of Physics at New Mexico State University invites applications for a tenure- track faculty position in the field of experimental condensed matter physics, applied physics, and/or materials science. The appointment is anticipated to start in August 2023 with rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate physics courses, including core courses and instructional laboratories, and establish an independent externally funded research program directly involving graduate and undergraduate students. A doctoral degree in physics or a closely related discipline is required. Postdoctoral experience is highly desirable.
